Going vegetarian means a lower risk of high blood pressure, heart disease and type 2 diabetes, as well as cancer. The healthy LightBox Vege diet offers a varied meal plan and tasty dishes.

The Vege diet is also a great solution to lose weight the healthy way – just choose one of the lower calorie options.

Our healthy vegetarian diet includes different sources of valuable vegetable proteins such as legumes and tofu. Our meal plan also includes less popular and harder to come by products such as tempeh and seitan – an almost pure wheat protein which contains only 2% fat, 3.5% carbohydrates and lots of fibre.

The healthy LightBox Vege diet is low in cholesterol, sodium and simple carbohydrates and high in fibre, with the optimal overall energy balance of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, including low levels of saturated fats and high levels of polyunsaturated fats.

We have counted for calories and around 80 macro-/micronutrients. We also ensure that daily energy intake is properly distributed among meals during the day.

The exclusion of fish and meat products from the Vege diet means that it is deficient in vitamin D. Levels of vitamin D in our body are also influenced by exposure to sunshine, but there is definitely not enough of it in our climate, particularly in autumn and winter. Therefore, when recommending the LightBox Vege diet we also advise supplementing it with a plant based vitamin D formula.

Do you suffer from allergies?

LightBox Vege meals are prepared using a wide range of foods, including natural products and their derivatives which may cause allergies or reactions. These include: cereals containing gluten, eggs, nuts, peanuts, soy, milk, celery, mustard seeds, sesame seeds and lupin. Therefore, if you are allergic to any of the above ingredients, this diet may not be suitable for you.
