The Mediterranean diet protects the heart and is a model anti-arteriosclerosis diet, reducing the risk of ischemic heart disease and regulating heart arrhythmia. It also lowers blood pressure, improves your lipid profile and glycemic control as it uses products with a low glycemic index, reducing resistance to insulin in pre-diabetic conditions. The Mediterranean diet is recommended by doctors to type 2 diabetes patients.
The LightBox Optimum diet supplies your body with all the vital nutrients. When balancing it, we also ensured – taking the Mediterranean diet as our model – the right proportions of other food compounds crucial for the diet’s health properties. The LightBox Optimum diet, highly rated by nutrition experts and doctors, is therefore low in cholesterol, sodium and simple sugars, high in fibre, with the right proportions of energy from proteins, carbohydrates and fats. It is also low in saturated fatty acids and high in polyunsaturated ones, including omega-6 and omega-3. At the same time, our dietitians ensured that your daily energy intake is properly distributed among meals during the day.
